Faz hoje 20 anos que Tim Berners-Lee entregou um documento ao seu supervisor Mike Sendall, intitulado “Information Management : a Proposal”. “Vago, mas emocionante” é como Mike o descreveu, dando a Tim consentimento para avançar com a sua proposta . No ano seguinte, nasceu a World Wide Web.
O CERN preparou um conjunto de actividades comemorativas da efeméride , nomeadamente uma conferência que se realiza hoje, um site – World Wide Web@20 e um vídeo.
